Clinical Leadership in a Global Health Crisis
Vivekananda Arogyadhama – 20 bed AYUSH hospital : a health care wing of Sneha kunja Trust (R).
My commitment to wellness was profoundly tested and strengthened during the global crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Prior to this, alongwith my ongoing professional engagement additionally I had undertaken a planned one-year partial sabbatical (April 2019 – March 2020) dedicated to deep experiential learning and self-practice of Ayurveda, Marma Awareness, and Antaranga Yoga within the AyurMarmaYoga tradition. It was with an intent to host MarmaNrayn• AyurMarmaYoga global wellness initiative , I have had attended 124 days of practical experiential study during that one year period.
Due to the unfolding pandemic, this period of intensive self-study and inner practice naturally extended for an additional ten months, during which I practiced advanced Antaranga Yoga full-time, focusing on inner discipline, awareness practices, and experiential understanding of integrative health.
During the second wave of the pandemic, I returned to full-time clinical service and assumed the role of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at Vivekananda Arogyadhama, a AYUSH wellness and integrative health center under SnehaKunja Trust.
In this role, I led frontline clinical operations during an unprecedented public health emergency, working in a high-pressure environment where resilience, clarity, and compassionate leadership were essential. My work involved integrating traditional wellness approaches with essential medical protocols, addressing complex health conditions while supporting recovery, rehabilitation, and long-term wellbeing.
This 28 months period deepened my practical expertise in non-invasive neuro-wellness approaches and lifestyle-based recovery, particularly in supporting individuals navigating post-illness fatigue, stress, and systemic health imbalances.
More importantly, this experience reinforced a core conviction that guides my work today:
Integrative health is not merely restorative — it is resilient.
The insights gained during COVID19 pandemic time now inform my ongoing work through MarmaNrayn • AyurMarmaYoga Wellness Practices, where I support individuals in navigating complex health challenges through non-invasive neuro-wellness methods, awareness-based practices, and evidence-informed lifestyle interventions.
